Do you remember the Alamo, or just crooked politicians who lied and stole? Do you remember when the world was at war, and the propaganda that united us in those country stores? When a handful of men, with printing presses and pens, gave guns to the masses to bring oppression to an end? Do you remember free speech, or just what they teach? Are you filled with enjoyment or anger when they preach? Do you remember the shanty towns, when the money was no longer around, and the demons we fought to stay rooted on this ground? Times are bad, but they've been worse, and this country is my favorite, if not only my first. We have the freedom to dream, to live and to love. The freedom to face adversity yet rise above. We are Americans, hate us if you wish. For better or worse, it is our home, and we are all misfits.

Generic Beer

I know I said my updates will be few and far between before show, but while thinking about the generic beer from my 1000th post thingy, I had see if i could make the concept work.  So I did this.  Don't know if it's any better, but would you buy it? What if it had a QRcode on it that links to a news article about the heath benefits of beer?

IBM

IBM had a drastic change in its logo design through the years.   Originally IBM was known as ITRCO (International Time Recording Company) and had a five letter logo with a hierarchy that caused to viewer to read the letters in the correct order.   After incorporating the Computing Scale Company to produce commercial scales, the company changed its logo.   Unlike the previous design, the first letter is difficult to distinguish as the “C” encompasses the entire logo.   When the two companies completely merged under one board to form the Computing-Tabulating-Recording Company (CTR), a combination logo was created.   Although it still has elements of the CSCO logo (the pointed letters and the font curvature) the main layout was taken from the of the ITRCO logo.   The first actual IBM logo appeared in 1924 when the company’s name was officially changed to Business International Machines.   Because of the “international” nature of their sales, their logo i...
